Welcome to ZAX

ZAX is a mobile frontend for the Zabbix enterprise monitoring system. It is free and has no limits.

This app shows you not only active triggers, events and latest item data, but has a few more features:

Setup Push Notifications

First, you need an account for PubNub, a realtime push service. Sign up for free at http://www.pubnub.com/ if you don’t have an existing account.

Download pubnub.pl and open it with an editor. Replace the $pubkey and $subkey variables with your keys (http://www.pubnub.com/account#api-keys).

Copy the pubnub.pl file into the Zabbix AlertScriptPath. The AlertScriptPath is set in the Zabbix configuration.

Open the Zabbix web frontend.
Go to Administration -> Media types. Create a new Media type for the script pubnub.pl.

Go to Administration -> Users. Add for your user the Media type you created before.

Go to Configuration -> Actions. Create an action for a trigger that sends a message to your user.
Important: subject and message must be set to:

Default subject:

	{TRIGGER.ID}

Default message:

	status={STATUS}
	message={HOSTNAME}: {TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}
